You had me at the wooden shoes - I collect wooden shoe forms. Sigh
Such a generous and tender way for Louise to carry on her father's legacy and to share it with extended family. Yes, yes . . . I can understand your excitement.

Well, this would be like a dream come true for me. Too bad I couldn't pass for a very distant cousin from the US, lol. Can't wait to hear the rest of the story to find out what you got.

what a dream! I cannot wait to read more. Grace xoox

I think I remember this, Corey ... still, the stuff of dreams, no? I so hope things are going well for Jean-Luc and the family ...

Oh Corey... I Pray your clan in Paris is ok! xox, dede

Holy cow, that must've been awesome for you to dive into..did you have the bug at that time? A kinda similar thing happened to me with my in-laws friend's mother's estate. We were invited to take anything (she had been wealthy and had very tasteful antiques)..I felt weird putting my name on stuff, not wanting to be greedy but there were a lot of people going to town on the stuff so I was told to not be shy. Missed out on the furniture but got some little things like a sweet Limoges vase with a scene on it.

Saw the sad news today..praying for those in Paris & that they catch those blankety blanks!

Oh you silly tease! I shall look forward to whenever you get around to continuing this story. I only remember it enough to recall a post from some time ago bemoaning items that you wished you could have claimed and didn't. Am I at all close to a piece of this story?
