Every Monday my Mother opens her door to her grandchildren.
Every Monday Uncle Phil brings a box of his home grown vegetables. My Mother in return, makes him cookies, saying as she has said a hundred million times before (and Julie I am not exaggerating!)
"Sweets for the sweet!"
Every Monday the grandchildren, help make the cookies for Uncle Phil...or I should say lick the cookies for Uncle Phil!
Every Monday it is a three ring circus, the master cookie maker and her band of finger licking wonderment whip up cookies!
I cannot believe the magic she performs! How do these cookies turn out with so many little fingers in the dough?
May-May knows the trick to creating a chocolate mound; to kiss it!
Molly's smile tempts me to eat it, though I have witness that smile licking off all the frosting just so she could add more!
Such entertainment, such giggling pleasure, such lickable-likable-love in every bite! How can I live in France on Mondays?
photos: My nieces and Godchild, last Monday licking cookies.
Aww...more tempting food. How wonderful it is to get children involved in cooking, for them to join in the fun and how delicious those cookies look! This is making me hungry already :)

You have rich memories to live on dear Corey.
My husband and I have been in Prague for three days and our 10 year old Marta has been staying with my parents. Her best memories from the week-end was picking wild flowers with grandpa, they found 58 different ones on Sunday and managed to name most of them, and baking and cooking with grandma. Marta brough fresh pastries home yesterday and could serve us and big sister Ingrid who came home from a 10 day's trip visiting her boyfriend's family, a wonderful bread, jam and cheese supper.

I appreciate the efforts many of you made to tell me you enjoyed this post! See you tomorrow!

Oh my God! It's the marshmallow cookies! The ultimate kid confection. And they are synonymous with Aunt Dolores -- Aunt Marshmallow Cookie, Dolores Cookie -- it's all the same. After seeing this post I'm nine years old again, standing in your mother's kitchen, biting into one of those bits of heaven, feeling my front teeth sink through the different textures. I'll have to make sure I'm in Willows the next time my father (aka Sweets to Aunt Marshmallow Cookie) makes a vegetable delivery.
And I hope you've explained to all your faithful readers that those children are professional models hired specifically for that photo shoot.

ahhh!!!
I have been having such a weird and out of sorts day, and then I decided to visit my friend Corey.
Of course I did, because everytime I do I come away with something more.
Today it was Baby Cake and darling children baking with their precious granny...I have been soothed by your heart warming images and words...and for that my dear, I thank YOU xox
