I have several of them, each is more or less the same. The best part about them, other than the conversationalist piece that they are, is that they literally are molded to your palm for a perfect grip. That is to say the vine is well chosen.

Hard to find nineteen century Absinthe server. Absinthe was served in individual servers and slowly poured over a spoon that held sugar. The sugar was then set on fire. The melted sugar with Absinthe was then ready to drink. (Absinthe spoons are below.)
But since most of us do not drink Absinthe these little jars can be used for maple syrup, or melted butter, or any sort of sauce.

After a meal or a drink at a French restaurant, the waiter brings a small dish with the receipt on it. When the client pays, the waiter tears the receipt as a way to say the bill is taken care of. The customers may stay at the table chatting, as long as they like.
This plate is from the turn of the century, they are always made of ironstone, but now they are in plastic. Some have a number in the middle. This rare one has numbers all the way around. I wonder if it were used for gambling as well?

This is one of the ways i re-purposed my bottle stoppers.
They also look lovely stacked in a glass container, or at the base of a clear glass flower vase with flowers.
