Each Saturday I focus on a different artist that I admire. From potters to painters, chefs to collectors, seamstress to songwriters, lifestyle to lovers... anyone who set the paintbrush, pastry brush, hands and heart on fire to create.
Those who inspire art to flow where it may. Ingridd Knoblich.
From the hands of the potter, Ingridd, who wore an apron that read, "Getting better with age,"
"I'm all day on birds," says Ingridd Knoblich and its many wrinkles around the eyes with a laugh, but this sentence makes their job very well indeed. For the 70-year-old with violet-blue eyes and white bob "makes" tits out of clay, which she sells for $ 20 apiece. Her studio is in a former water tower, their hands are blue from kneading. Knoblich is originally from Hildesheim and stumbles at every second sentence is still sharp on the stone, although she has lived since 1969 in Mendocino." via Visit Mendocino.
Perched on a fence post the hand crafted birds seem to strut their stuff, as they fluffed their feathers, and chirped, "Pick me, pick me!" A nearby sign said: "Birds for sale. Pick the one you want and leave $20 in the box below."
Trust and Freedom is their song.
