Our friends (Judy and Bill) invited us to their place. During brunch, they pointed out an oddity growing in one of their many pine trees. They did not know whether it was a nest of some sort or, as they teased an alien's surprise.
French Husband had to discover, had to climb, had to know, had to go up the tree to see for himself, what it was. He ripped off his shirt, tighten his sandals... A modern day Tarzan a go-go.
The growth in the tree was circular, shaped like a nest, about five feet wide. If it weren't for the pine needles it would be a perfect tree-bed.
Have you ever seen such a thing?
Are you more like Tarzan or Jane?
I am more like the apple, I mean pine cone, that falls off the tree.
French Husband went straight up, didn't mind the scratches, the pitch from the pine, the needles, or the fact that he had on his dress shorts and non traction sandals.
Curiosity lead him.
He is still a kid... and I hope it never changes.
French Husband found out that it was a large unusual growth, nothing more.
There wasn't a gigantic egg waiting inside, nor was it a pre historic, time warp, sci-fi whatever, nothing scary or adventurous... Just a growth...darn.
Linkq to what the unusual growth is...
