My online Brocante is at last opened.
This time around it has been a family affair, yet another silver lining from falling off the ladder. French Husband and Chlesea have been helping me, or I should say feeding me doses of brocante bug drugs!
I have been taking the photos of the brocante things with my iPhone, and then sending them with a click to my brocante blog. Easy breezy. I have yet to master non blurry photos, but overall I am content with the results considering I cannot hold my SLR camera for months to come.
French Husband has been writing the script for the paypal buttons, and the needed details to sell the items online, a time consuming process.
Chelsea is the packer.
Each night after dinner, the three of us "do the brocante" around the dining room table.
Their enthusiastic help has been the best medicine.
What has surprised me most is their pulling things to the side declaring that they want it.
"They" who do not like the brocante are getting bit.
I tell you it is a dangerous undertaking doing the brocante.
Of course our dining room has become a warehouse.
And packages are sent off to Japan, New Zealand, England, Canada, the USA, Africa....
Isn't this sweet? A roller number stamp.
It sold yesterday.
I must admit it is sad to see such sweet little old things leave their homeland and venture to faraway places. Or maybe I am projecting my own feeling of leaving one place to another on them. Or maybe I am thinking too much.
Anyway, we are all one, and this planet is our home and the thing are things, sweet and durable.

Out of the million French brocantes on any given weekend, out of the million boxes of things, I am always amazed at the little discoveries that come home with me.
My online brocante will soon have another helper...
My Belle Mere offered to come help me.
I am so happy!
She is 83 years old and coming to help... she lives on the other side of France!
Wonders never cease.... OH the Joy of shattering my wrist!
This little enamel plaque sold too.
If you haven't taken a peek into my shop please do... you might have the brocante bug bite you too.
The link to my Tongue in Cheek Antique online shop is on the top right corner of this blog. Anytime you want to peek inside just click that button.
Many of you have offered to come and help. Thank you.
Many of you have encouraged me to write that book.... Denise being the biggest cheerleader.
Many of you make my day by buying in my shop.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
If you are interested in bigger antiques, and have a transporter let me know.
The brocante world is my oyster... is that how the saying goes?
The items I sell include postage and tax, which make up for a large part of the cost. The profit goes to paying for my drug...brocanting.
What is your drug?
Brocanting has it all....
It is a sport, that sets my feet a dancing, which makes me buy more shoes and keeps me hungry for more.
Drawer tags to list the sweets in each drawer:
Lately my drawers are looking a mess. Folding is not happening.
