Flickering Light
We are like a crystal suspended by a silver thread, a strong arm, and with a soul... floating in the universe. Reflecting light, holding light and as the Light passes through us we are alive sending out a multitude of tinted light...rose, green yellow, blue....violet too.
When our Mothers carry us in their womb a different glow radiates from their being, and when our hour comes to go beyond here and now, the light flickers waving at us to understand, to grasp, to hold on, to let go.... to follow.
Without light there is darkness, a stillness, another journey.
My father's light flickers less today. With mixed emotion I hold on to the light above that filters through the universe, and cry.... "Your will be done, your will be done."
So very graceful, so much to learn...
Your strong faith brings light in darkness.

Hi Corey. Recently back from some travels, having wondered how things were going for you. It seems like suspended animation. Our thoughts go out to you. A different slant added to my thoughts with my father being diagnosed with lung cancer while we were away. Still the Drs talk positively. Much love and many thoughts, Lee.

Your soul is a special one. So its your fathers' too. Souls gather and are one. When you see beauty in things like you show on this messages, your father feel it as well. Sending love to you and your families Corey

Thank you so very much for sharing your family's journey through this time with all of us out here in blog-land. It has been both a blessing and an inspiration to watch the way with you carry yourself with such dignity and grace. May God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, comfort you and yours.

Corey,
I am crying with you. My beloved grandmother is gravely ill and they have put her in isolation and we are not allowed to go in as she is very contagious. She suffer two light strokes earlier in the week and at 86 years young, she has suddenly become very frail.
I feel your pain and your desire to hold and let go at the same time. The only thing I know to do is pray for mercy and grace and exactly what you said, thy will be done.
I am still holding you close in my thoughts and prayers, as well as your family. Thank you for expressing so eloquently what I too am feeling.

Steady I pour out prayers in your behalf. Your strength and faith inspire those of us that happen by your special place of thought. Of late I have picked up two magazines to leaf through and found your delightful work. A piece of your French life to share and know you in a different place. What a treat. My prayers of comfort go with you as you abide in His will.
p.s. My sweet friend Rachel has returned home but slowly slips away a bit more each day. Her wish to rest at home has been granted. Praises sing out; Thy will be done, oh Lord.

Corey…shortly before my Dad “went home”…my brothers, their wives, my husband and I met at my Dad & Mom’s home. Together we were gathering strength for the days ahead.
In our time of sharing…crying…laughing…remembering…my older brother led us in a scripture verse…Psalm 136. He would read…we would in turn answer back “His love endures forever.” I encourage you to read this Psalm…for truly “HIS love endures forever.”
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever…with a mighty hand and outstretched arms; His love endures forever.”
Much love and strength to you and your family this next week.

All my love to you, Corey!
As much as we love the dear members of our families, when it comes to this point, we have to truly understand that the decision is entirely between our loved one and God. We have to "let go" and "let God".

Corey - you have such a beautiful way with words! It is so hard to let go... Prayers going up for you, your dad and your family. Big hugs, Marva

It is the winding down portion of our lives that allows us to rest and prepare for what lies ahead of us. The end of this journey is the beginning of another, and your father, I am certain, knows that. His faith will carry him through to the place where he wants to be- in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father and the Savior, and the family that waits for him patiently.
Much love to you, dear Corey, and the hope that you will find comfort in the knowledge that you have given your father the very best gift- your time and love. He will remember it always.

As I get ready to turn in Corey, I always think of you- the sentinel bird perched at his post, watching over his family keeping them safe. For some odd reason I feel you are keeping us all safe or at ease, at the very least. I think you have the kind of love that is enveloping, you know what I mean? From the first day I met you you seemed to be an old soul. The wise one. The one with the drop-dead gorgeous husband. Can't pass that one up. Anyway. thanks for keeping watch on you dad so that we all who care about you know he's in good hands.
Love,
Donna

May the Heavenly FATHER just snug you up real close, Corey dear!! A tough time indeed. I hope you take some consolation in knowing that Scripture says that HE knows all our days before there was one. I am so happy for you that you have been able to be there and that you have such a dad!! What a treasure and what a legacy your family has!!

Meanwhile Corey - you know we are thinking of you and sending love.

Why does there have to be a time when His will is done?
I guess somewhere deep inside I know the answer to this Corey. As you grapple with your sadness, and try to come to terms with your father's fleeting light...I send you my best wishes, my love, my friendship to sustain you.
I hope you make it through, with just enough scars to make his memory live within you forever.
George is an amazing spirit. He will dazzle wherever the Lord takes him.
