Holding a Mirror
In the painting above the young woman holds a mirror behind herself as she gazes into the future, in doing so she places her hand to her heart. She is sitting- could that mean she is not in a hurry. Though her foot inches forward prepared with a shoe that touches the ground. Could that mean she is ready even if she is not in a hurry.
What do you see? Where does the story unfold?
The nights are calmer. My father sleeps in a familiar position, his hand to his heart. I hold a mirror to the past several weeks.... I am not in a hurry-

That's a very interesting painting. I can't quite decide what's happening in it. Do you know who painted it? I'd swear at first glance it's two people there, not one, makes me think of a mystery. Since I can't quite figure it out. The foot that's stepping forward looks like a right foot, which isn't what you'd think would be stepping forward.....and I'm gonna quit blabbing now. Cooool painting, I thank you for sharing as it's made me very curious.
Continued good thoughts for you and your family!!

She is meditating. No hurry. Past, present and future together. Life. The wind, the earth, a glimpse of water in the mirror and passion in the heart. Love.

A very interesting observation, Corey. Maybe she's signaling to her lover who is miles away from her...? Maybe her love is at sea and she's signaling from the shore?

Sometimes mirrors do not give the correct reflect of the reflection on it. Perhaps a bit too much philosophic this meditation of mine... But what you wrote, Corey, made me think of a recent post of yours: "on ne voit bien qu' avec le coeur. L' essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." Isn't it?

As always, Corey, your observations are so inspiring and thought provoking.
My hope is that one day you will put all of them in a book for a wider audience's benefit. In fact, now that I think about it several books.
May God richly bless you and your family today!

The mirror is pointed towards the sky, as if to say to those on High, ponder your own beauty for awhile. Give me a little more time here.
Then, she says, "I know it is a low thing to love this earth, to love this life, but I'm a bit attached. I'm coming, but I just need one last moment to take it in and hold it close. So that I can remember."

We are always in transition, yes? I am glad your dad is having some calm moments, and that you can witness and appreciate them. This has been quite a path the two of you have had to travel. You seem to have a knack for always looking for the gift in a situation, TICA. Your observations surely help others in similar situations.
