The Invitation to Dream

                Reflection_2

Within each of us there is a dream wanting to wake up and become real, tangible, whole and complete.

Within each of us there is a past, present and future collaborating with the scribe of our script.

Within each of us there is a history buried, wanting to be born anew.

Within each of us we have cells that connects us to the sun, the universe, and the bottom of the sea.

Within each of us we carry the invitation to dream.

Photo: A small vintage silouette, that hangs in my cousin Judy's bedroom, which caught my reflection in the glass.

The silhouette on the wall is so sweet - but your words here, are lovelier still.
They make me feel inspired again - thank you for that.

I love that silhouette and wallpaper so much! (makes me want to design my room again) I'm digging out my invitation to dream, it's buried in a golden ticket somewhere.

dreaming in the middle of the day, a scene from the past never to be washed away. wanting to catch the moments of time to capture them in a box. but they fly by before i'm able to grab them...
lovely silhouette picture, corey! it looks like toile de joy perfectly matching with the black paper siccor cuts of the frame!

the wall paper is amazing. and the color too. thank you (again, i always do) for this profound message, it's a wonderful reminder.

That is so true. It was all inside me and I didn't know it until I moved to France.

Oh Corey this post is so divine just absolutely lovely my friend!

Hi Corey:
You weave words the way one makes cloth!!!
Thank you
carole

cells connect . . . to the bottom of the sea. Really REALLY felt this line.

Corey, how your words ring true...cousin Judy's bedroom is lovely. I'm in love with that silouette. :-)

Sigh...Corey, you really do have a gift with words.

Une pièce où l'on rêve est une pièce où on lâche prise et où l'on respire le bonheur de vivre ...

Lovely!!
Rosemary

you always seem to make me stop and think, and more importantly, be thankful for what I have.

You are just a poet .
I'm so happy to have met you.
See you soon xxx

Ha!

I am a dreamer - a dreamy
dreamer:)

Sometimes you leave me speechless!

But I do have to tell you that the reflection in the glass is beautiful!

What lovely poetry you offer to us. Thank you!

ooohhh... look how the wallpaper girl with the curls
is staring at the framed silhouettes...

do you think she has a thing for the man
and
is taken back to see them together!

i was just wondering...

:-)

But how to get them to unite as a whole...?

and ever so teasingly sometimes you get a bit of that dream and want more!

I have to agree with Sheila!

Beautiful!

I'm living the dream. Thanks for the reminder, though.

to dream...to be alive...blessings, rebecca

What is YOUR dream?
Are you living it?

It occurs to me sometimes that life is the dream, that beyond this is the bigger reality. That we are connected to the sun, the universe and the bottom of the ocean, is inspiring and encourages me to make the most of every moment.

PS.
Have you seen Shelley? How is she doing? Tell her I said hello, and wish her my best.

I always come away from my visits to you thinking about good and important things. Your such a wonderful person. You make me happy.

Oh, we do indeed! Beautifully written, Corey.

What a charming siloeutte. I'm pretty dazzled by the wallpaper too.

I love those silouette's!

"Within each of us we carry the invitation to dream."

I agree. But how do we get others to realize this? Those who will not accept the inviation sadden me.

So beautiful, romantic, inspiring, just lovely :)

How very very timely to remind me (us) of the very core of my (our) potentional.

How very lovely is everything you post.........
Magic just like you!
Love you
Jeanne

Your cousin's picture caught your "reflection"in two ways: your reflected image and your thought.
Your whole post (words and picture) made me think instantly about Baudelaire's "L'Invitation au Voyage":

"Mon enfant, ma soeur,
Songe à la douceur
D'aller là-bas vivre ensemble !

Décoreraient notre chambre ;

Dont l'humeur est vagabonde ;
C'est pour assouvir
Ton moindre désir
Qu'ils viennent du bout du monde.
- Les soleils couchants
Revêtent les champs,
Les canaux, la ville entière,
D'hyacinthe et d'or ;
Le monde s'endort
Dans une chaude lumière.

Là, tout n'est qu'ordre et beauté,
Luxe, calme et volupté."
