What a gorgeous hour glass. I wanted to reach in, turn it over and savor each grain as it sifted. Yesterday is what was, today is what we have, and tomorrow is the promise we look forward too.
The other day I was thinking about the passage of time - enjoying my granddaughter and realizing I didn't "feel" like a grandmother. Such fond memories of growing up with my grandmothers.....how they taught me about flowers, crochet, baking, and well, yes, love.
That is a precious hourglass - a fantastic treasure - and lovely sentiments. Check out my "Can this chocolate be dangerous" for the latest mad rules about mailing to the US!
oh my. I can't even tell you how much I LOVE your site! I've been wondering through your FRENCH ANTIQUES section, and I'm in another world.....a dream world. I'll be back for inspiration! ~Jes
How fleeting is our life, when measured in grains of sand. One day the hour glass will turn over and there will be nothing left. What better reason to run barefoot through the sand while we are able.
Time is fast and fleeting~
Make the most of each day.
Time keeps on slipping slipping into the future.
Off to make the most of my tim e and this spring day!
Love you
Jeanne

Amazing hourglass. So inspiring.
I often think that the seconds that are just passing will be memories in only a few instants ahead.

It flies, doesn't it? This week has flown for me because I have had my sweet kiddo home on spring break and she flies the nest once again on Sunday.

Hi Corey ~ Love the hourglass.
The other day I was thinking about the passage of time - enjoying my granddaughter and realizing I didn't "feel" like a grandmother. Such fond memories of growing up with my grandmothers.....how they taught me about flowers, crochet, baking, and well, yes, love.
Life is such a fleeting thing. *sigh*
Have a wonderful day.

At Fauchon's afternoon tea, they give you a tiny "minute" glass holding pink sand to time your tea.
Very fleeting pink grains of sand...

So true. I was just thinking about this yesterday as I went through a box of photographs.
That's the most beautiful hourglass I have ever seen. Old things, and unique handmade things have such spirit don't you think?.
