Frenchmen with Class

Before the church bells strike eight, three men with arms the size that Popeye would envy, have been coming to our home, to work in our garden. They are creating a stone fountain and re doing the old wall, amongst other things.

Each morning we share a cup of coffee. This morning it dawned on me, one of the extraordinary elements of a French man is, that they don't mind drinking coffee in dainty pretty cups; cups that would make Cinderella blush!

Not only did Popeye's envy, admire the "charmante" coffee cups, I was even granted permission to take a photo of the hunk's arm!! A Prince Charming doesn't get sweeter than this!

Mon Dieu!!

That's one sexy bicep, with a lovely juxtaposition on a tiny teacup.

i love it, and such sweet cups! you always have the best stories to tell. :D

That picture of mister hunky holding that cup is so cute!!! Priceless

I adore these photos. The cup is delicious. The manly man and the little cup are delightful.

Hi Corey,
I would like to order 1 dz. teacups, I assume the men come with them. All I can say is WOW!Love those Frenchmen....I love to watch men work.....how about you?

Oh these three men, and their hunky chucky arms!! I guess I must add a photo of them digging the hole for the pond! It has been a pleasure watching them work, yes yes yes my French husband is helping too!

I am glad you got an, OH LA LA out of this post, the comments were all sexy-fun to read!! I mean a pleasure to read!!

In the garden, I read the comments to them, they didn't bat an eyelash..."American men do not use coffeecups like these?"

Gotta know I am falling in love here!! (with my own French one of course!!)

Oh my goodness... officially envious!!!

the french man are cool!

Just loved that arm....can't wait to see your pretty garden....

That hand ENGULFS that dainty little cup. How marvelous.

Very funny. Et quel beau bras!

Ummm ... is he single?!

I love those cups!!

LUV THE POST! Made my day! Love to see strong embrassing arms and hands coddling a delicute and soft artform; a teacup of all things; the irony and comparison to strength and beauty; enjoyed your post and the pic :)

Loving the color of that cup. I know you collect/sell antiques; is that from the 40's? The color seems 50's - the gold 40's?

real men.... use pretty cups !

That picture is classic! LOL.

:)

This is too cool!!!

Now that's a man! I'm sure he must know that coffee tastes much better from a lovely cup:>

Oh, what a quick eye! This picture is truly priceless. I also love the humanity that emanates from it! That man really made an effort of empathy towards you.

my word. those hands.

my word. those hands.

my word. the size of his hand.

lucky you!!

GEE COREY,WAS HE HOLDING A TEA CUP?I DON'T REMEMBER SEEING A CUP(HEHE)!!

merci!

Ha ha! Cool photo Corey! What arms! *EEK*
I can't wait to see a pic of the finished fountain!

The cup looks good on him ;)

Awesome French Man! Love the cups too.

At one time I used to collect antique tea/coffee cups -- this one is just gorgeous! The hunk has very good, strong hands...

Hi Corey:
Beutiful pic, I can't wait to see your yard. I finally posted some of my Paris pics on my blog. come and visit.
Have a great weekend.

Maggie

Bah... Hunk schmunk. I got one at home and so do you! All I want to know is; WHAT THE HECK IS THAT PIECE OF GORGEOUS PAPER HANGING BEHIND HIM???!!! hmmmm?

;o)

Your verse and photos of today in particular, find me nearly overwhelmed with an astounding and delicious sense of pleasure. Thank you!

...and those beautiful teacups only accentuate his masculinity! Will you share these comments with him and the other fellows Corey?

i am officially jealous; of the ritual, the cups and the muscles.... you are very smart to be taking advantage of all three. i think i might get used to the chaos of the work if i had three beefy men showing up every morning.... i am looking forward to a picture of the trio and their handiwork when the project is finished.

Hmmm Ciao Bello...he can come and work in my garden anytime.....lol

Oooo la la
I think I have an old wall that needs re doing as well.

Oh my goodness, what eye candy, and I don't mean just the cups!!! I think this is why I adore all things French so much, no matter the task, its done with style and amazing taste! You truly are in touch with the country and its many intricacies... My husband (who is a big 6' 4") rolls his eyes when I bring out my pretty teacups... Wish I could teach him the ways of the French....

that photo cracks me up. the cup looks sooo tiny!

I don't think you'd get British brickies doing the same thing - there'd be a curious look, more than likely a raucus laugh, then asked for something in a mug, with biscuits to dunk!

Tres mignon! And for the hunky guy to mention the "charmante" cups - priceless! I love how the French pay attention to details that make a life well-lived.

I love that huge, beefy hand holding that tiny, delicate cup. Perfect.

Mmmmmm, yummy! Oops I was talking about the dishes.
;)
a.

yeah, gimme a girl who can reference Cinderella and Popeye in the same verse. Your agility in creation is rivaled by no one. A stunning teacup and a hunky Francais. Ooh la La LA lA...

how adorable! that is sort of reminicent to me of the old saying, real men eat quiche!
tee hee. so so cute corey!

hubba, hubba!

how wonderfully juxtaposed is that!

my hubby wouldn't be caught dead holding anything pink and delicate! lol!!!

:) mary ann

ooo la la! i love men with strong arms, stong hands and a gentle touch. i'll be day dreaming about the men in a french garden all day now!:)

I love the colors of the cup and saucer in the first photo. The second photo, though, oh my goodness! With three such distractions working around your garden, how do you ever concentrate on anything else? Oh-lala!
