Mont d'Or in French that means
Mountain of Gold. The first time I took a bite of it I could honestly say I felt like I was eating a piece of golden Paradise.
Take the cheese out of it's little chest and put it in a baking dish.
Slice three cloves of garlic in fourths and push the sliced pieces deep into the cheese.
On top cover of the Mont d'Or cover it with a mountain of sauteed mushrooms, garlic, white wine and olive oil.
Put it in the oven to melt (ten minutes)
Serve warm with red wine, salad and baguettes.
This is a traditional cheese from France served during the holidays.
